Petra’s Alimentos is rooted in the traditions of our family. My passion for cooking began with my grandmother, Petra Leyva, whose love for food and family inspired everything I do. The traditional cajeta recipe was later passed down to me by my father, Jose Leyva, who first began making and sharing it with others together with his brother, Jim Leyva.
For us, food has always been more than something you make — it’s what brings family together. And when family comes together, memories are created that last a lifetime. Today, I continue that legacy with pride, honoring Petra’s warmth, my father’s craft, and the simple belief that the best food is always made with love and meant to be shared.
